Nathan:
I don't know what it is but whenever at a grocery store or a walmart I always have the worst luck in choosing a line. I always pick the shortest line but it always seems to be the slowest line. Well yesterday I was in line at Walmart with two people in front of me (the shortest line) and ofcourse I had the slowest cashier on the planet working. As I stood in line it took about 5 minutes for the first person to get done which is not to bad but the second person in line took forever. She had like 10 items but they were apparently not scanning correctly or didn't have anything to scan. They kept on having to call people up to go find out how much the item she was purchasing was. After about 20 minutes I started contemplating on jumping in other lines like 5 people deep. But I didn't want to walk away and get in another line and then see my old line start moving. There was a old couple behind me and they were starting to get very agitated and I overheard them talking about how they were going to be late to a doctors appointment. Meanwhile I'm seeing the other lines moving very quickly and seeing that if I had made the decision to switch lines I would have been out the door. This whole time I have been in line I'm trying not show how annoyed I was for the wait. The lady at the registar kept looking at me so I'm sure my effort to look calm was not working. Finally after like 30 minutes I was up and knowing how frustrated the couple was behind me I let them go before me cause it sounded like they needed to be somewhere soon and I still had a little bit of time before I needed to be somewhere. They were very grateful.
